Svenska: Umeå gamla fängelse började byggas 1859 och de första fångarna flyttade in 1861. Fängelset hade interner fram till 1981. På bilden syns fängelsets huvudbyggnad (i slätputsat tegel). På bilden syns huvudingången ut mot Storgatan.
