Willoughby, (Robert, 6th) Lord de - bore, at the siege of Rouen 1418, gules a cross moline argent, quarterly with, or a cross engrailed sable (F.); the quarterings reversed in the Surrey Roll.

Note: The quarterings mentioned are also reversed on Willoughby's father's stall plate in St. George's chapel. "Gules a cross moline argent" were the ancient arms of Bec, or Beke, whose heiress brought the manor of Eresby into the Wiiloughby family. "Or a cross engrailed Sable" were the arms of Sir John de Mohun, 2nd Baron Mohun, KG whose coheiress daughter who married the 6th Baron Strange. Note: these arms borne by Willoughby are usually given as Sable, a cross engrailed or (as depicted in this image), not as in the arms of Mohun, and are said to be the arms of Ufford.
