English: Golden Lane The three colourful bollards bear the City Of London's traditional griffin - they mark the northern boundary of the City. In fact, this end of Golden Lane was never traditionally part of the City of London at all, but was transferred from the Borough of Islington in 1994 so as to bring the Golden Lane Estate (which had always been owned by the Corporation of London) within the City's boundary.
