English: Flag of the Nez Percé Tribe, a Native American Tribe located in Idaho. The flag depicts Chief Joseph in the center as part of the tribe's seal, along with a black map of the Nez Percé Indian Reservation edged in golden yellow. The map includes rivers that cross the reservation, as well as a gold salmon (an important source of the tribe's food and deer (a more traditional food source), and an eagle (a bird sacred to many Native American peoples). The red field represents the suffering and death the Nez Percé endured during the 19th and 20th centuries during the expansion of the United States of America.
