English: Chanteuges (Haute-Loire, France), seen from the north-north-west. The valley in the foreground is that of the Desges river, that runs here from right to left and reaches the left bank of the Allier river (in the "gorges de l'Allier") near the left edge of the picture. The village is perched on a height surrounded on three sides (north-east, north-west and south-west) by the two rivers.
Français : Chanteuges, Haute-Loire, France. Vue vers le sud-sud-est. La vallée au premier plan est celle de la Desges, qui coule ici de droite à gauche et conflue avec la rive gauche de l'Allier près du bord gauche de la photo. L'Allier coule ausi de gauche à droite. La vallée au fond à droite est celle de l'Allier : les gorges de l'Allier. Le village est perché sur un éperon encadré sur trois côtés (nord-est, nord-ouest et sud-ouest) par les deux rivières.
