1 - Candles (right) symbolize the various existing mills in the parish; 2 - The sprockets (left side) symbolize the existing industry in the parish; 3 - The Ghost (center) is S. John the Baptist, patron saint of S. João da Talha;

4 - The Hoist (beneath the saint) symbolizes the oil stored in them, since, in the fields of S. João da Talha predominant trees which gave olives to make olive oil; 5 - Water (below) symbolizes the Tagus River Bathing Parish.

cruise The cruise is about 600 years. Initially placed opposite the church, later passed into the Parish Cemetery.

He is currently placed in the Rotunda in S. João da Talha.
